The mission of the Potsdam Brass Quintet is threefold. First and foremost, the quintet serves as an artistic outlet for members of the ensemble. To that end, the quintet will perform in concert on the SUNY Potsdam campus, at other colleges and universities, and on community artist series and will produce commercial sound recordings. Second, the quintet serves as a recruiting vehicle for The Crane School of Music and SUNY Potsdam. To that end, the quintet will present concerts and workshops for high school music students in the northeast United States. Third, the quintet serves to provide musical outreach to enhance the formal music education and enrich the lives of the children of the state of New York. To that end, the quintet will present concert/clinics at elementary and secondary school assemblies.
